On September 16, Bengal Warriorz achieved a thrilling 41-37 victory against UP Yoddhas at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, marking a significant return to form in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi League 2025 (PKL 2025).
This win was particularly important for the Bengal team, who had faced four consecutive losses after initially winning against the defending champions, Haryana Steelers. Currently, they sit in the 10th position on the points table.
Conversely, UP Yoddhas are also struggling, having lost their last four matches after starting the season with two victories. They now find themselves in ninth place.
PKL 2025 – Bengal Warriorz Secures Essential Victory
Devank Dalal once again shone for Bengal Warriorz, achieving his sixth consecutive Super 10, while teammate Ashish contributed with a High Five.
The match began with UP Yoddhas taking an early lead, thanks to a successful raid by Guman Singh. Bengal Warriorz quickly responded, leveling the score with a raid from Devank. However, the Yoddhas dominated the early stages, executing an all-out on the Warriorz and leading 12-5 at the first Time Out.
Bengal Warriorz showed determination in the second quarter, narrowing the gap, but UP Yoddhas extended their lead to 15-9 with strong raids from Guman and solid defense led by Ashu Singh and Hitesh. At halftime, the score was 18-13 in favor of the Yoddhas.
The second half began with Bengal Warriorz reducing the deficit to 15-18, but UP Yoddhas quickly regained control, maintaining pressure. By the end of the third quarter, the Yoddhas led 25-22.
In a dramatic final quarter, Bengal Warriorz executed an all-out, taking the lead when their captain scored a crucial raid point. UP Yoddhas managed to equalize with a successful raid from Gagan Gowda.
However, Bengal Warriorz regained momentum, with Ashish completing his High Five and Devank continuing his impressive performance. With three minutes remaining, the Warriorz held a narrow 34-33 lead. They then inflicted another all-out, extending their advantage to 38-34 and ultimately securing a four-point victory.
